Ziggy was a superheavyweight robot built by Canada's CM Robotics, which competed in the BattleBots-sanctioned Rochester Robot Rampage event in 2005.

It was a six-wheeled robot with a low front wedge, and was armed with a powerful pneumatic launcher that the team dubbed "The Haymaker". Ziggy did well in the 2005 competition, becoming superheavyweight runner-up after making its way through the loser's bracket to reach the event final.

Team captain Mark Demers would later enter the televised BattleBots show with a heavyweight version of this design, called Lucky.

Ziggy RG09

Ziggy at RoboGames 2009.

Ziggy enjoyed a long and successful career at RoboGames since its first and only appearance at an event sanctioned by the BattleBots name. From 2006 until the last superheavyweight competition in 2010, Ziggy went undefeated and picked up five consecutive gold medals in the process. In part due to its sheer dominance as well as the drop in superheavyweight entries, the entire weight class was discontinued after 2010. This gave Ziggy an honorable mention in the Robot Combat Hall of Fame in 2013. Despite having not competed in over a decade, Ziggy remains under the ownership of Mark Demers.

The team also built a scaled-down heavyweight version which predated their 2016 BattleBots entry, called Son of Ziggy. However, it failed to achieve the same success as its superheavyweight predecessor.

For the 2018 RoboGames event, Lucky was converted into Ziggy for the final competition before it went into hiatus until 2023, where it entered as Ziggy Jr. but otherwise reflected their most recent build of Lucky.

After receiving a bye in the first round, Ziggy's first match was against Shovelhead. It lost this fight, and was now in the losers bracket.

Ziggy tosses Star Hawk 3.0 several feet in the air.

In the loser's bracket, Ziggy fought Star Hawk 3.0. As soon as the match started Ziggy got underneath Star Hawk 3.0, and flipped it over. Ziggy then took Star Hawk to the arena side wall and attempted to toss it out the arena. This did not work, however, and Ziggy took it to the pulverizers before flipping it back over. Star Hawk 3.0 then shoved Ziggy into the wall before driving onto Ziggy's wedge where it got flipped over again. Ziggy did not flip Star Hawk 3.0 back over this time and it was counted down, giving Ziggy the win by knockout.

Ziggy vs. The Black Knight

This put Ziggy up against Black Knight. During the match, the two bots maneuvered around each other before The Black Knight managed to get to the left side and lift Ziggy briefly. Immediately after, Ziggy backed up, scooped up The Black knight from the front, and launched it into a backflip. After some maneuvering, Ziggy tried to get under from the side, but the flipper launched out of reach. Ziggy tried again from the front, but The Black Knight slipped away before the launcher fired. Ziggy tried again from the front, but The Black Knight slipped away yet again, while Ziggy got its launcher jammed up in the process. While Ziggy fired again to un-jam the launcher, The Black Knight took the chance and briefly lifted Ziggy from the right side. After some more maneuvering, Ziggy got caught on the lifting arm of The Black Knight, where the latter rams Ziggy into the wall. In response, Ziggy got under and ran The Black Knight into the opposite wall, where Ziggy flipped The Black Knight upside down in the corner. With The Black Knight unable to self-right, Ziggy won by KO.
