X-Contamination was a 15lb robot built by Ransom Everglades Robotics which fought in three BattleBots IQ competitions from 2005 until 2008 as part of the High School division.

It was a two-wheeled robot armed with a front-mounted lifter, utilizing hinged metal sheets as skirts to prevent opponents from getting in underneath from the sides and rear. X-Contamination also fought at events in 2007, including Rumble at the Rock.

Robot History

BattleBots IQ 2005
X-Contamination vs. Midnite X-Contamination first took on Midnite. It lost this fight and fell into the loser's bracket.
X-Contamination vs. Commander K-9 Here, X-Contamination faced Commander K-9. Ransom Everglades Robotics earned their first win to remain in the competition.
X-Contamination vs. Bot Milk 2 Its next opponent was Bot Milk 2. X-Contamination won this battle to and continued on.
X-Contamination vs. Mushu and Tofu Next up for X-Contamination was Mushu and Tofu. It picked up a third consecutive win and advanced in the bracket.
X-Contamination vs. Spike X-Contamination's next opponent was Spike, who it beat to progress in the tournament.
X-Contamination vs. Baby Swiss Cheese Now deep in the loser's bracket, X-Contamination faced Baby Swiss Cheese. The Miami team earned another win in this battle.
X-Contamination vs. MaXimum Impact X-Contamination fought MaXimum Impact from Bloomsburg Area High School. It lost this fight, however, and was eliminated.
BattleBots IQ 2006
X-Contamination vs. MaXimum Impact X-Contamination fought MaXimum Impact in a rematch from the previous year's competition. It lost the fight by knockout. The remainder of its fights from the 2006 event are undocumented.
BattleBots IQ 2008
X-Contamination vs. UKnight X-Contamination's only documented battle of the 2008 competition was against Team Titanium Knights and UKnight. X-Contamination was quickly disposed of by UKnight as it was immediately flipped over and parts were torn away.
