Why Not was a middleweight robot built by Team Whyachi which entered the final two seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots.
It was a smaller version of the team's heavyweight Y-Pout - a triangular 5 wheel drive sit-and-spin robot with an internal "navbot" which would give the robot a forward heading. Why Not would then oscillate its wheel speeds so it could translate across the floor.
Why Not also featured a small directional indicator which pointed whichever direction the navbot was facing. On the outside of its shell were six S7 tool steel teeth positioned at different heights, which the team called "ripper claws".
Across two seasons, Why Not fought three times, winning once but never escaping the preliminary rounds. As such, Why Not did not fight in a televised BattleBots fight prior to its retirement.
