Wee Willy Wedgy, also spelt Wee Willy Wedgie in the BattleBots Magazine and sometimes on the show, was a middleweight robot built by 13-year old Jeff McLay with help from Team Robot Dojo which competed in the inaugural BattleBots IQ event in 2002, as well as Season 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
As its name suggests, Wee Willy Wedgy was wedge-shaped by design and featured with no active weaponry. The chassis was made from welded 0.035" 4130 aluminum tubing armored in 4130 chromoly steel, and it used large, foam-filled go-kart tires for additional traction and pushing power.[2] Despite its simplistic design, Wee Willy Wedgy was very successful, becoming champion of the first BattleBots IQ tournament and also reaching the Round of 32 in Season 5.0.
Team Robot Dojo entered a multitude of other robots into BattleBots, such as Pro-AM and Agitator.
Wee Willy Wedgy is thought to remain in the possession of Jeff McLay.Citation?
