Walki robotów (roughly translating to Robot Fights in English) is the name given to the Polish dub of BattleBots World Championship I and II on DTX. The first season premiered in November 2016, and the second aired in May 2017.
The dub is presented by sports commentators Piotr Skowyrski and Tomasz Zimoch and is one of only two complete international dubs to also feature unique presenters - the other being BattleBots: Le Choc des Robots. Other uncredited voice actors serve to dub various roles such as that of the pit reporter and team members. Faruq Tauheed's robot introductions were also dubbed by an unknown voice actor, but still audible.[1] Unlike the original US version, both commentators were present on-screen for the majority of the fight. Walki robotów occupied a Monday 10pm timeslot on DTX and full fights from World Championship I are available to watch on the Discovery Channel Polska YouTube channel, uploaded in late 2016.
World Championship II began airing on DTX on May 23, 2017 with Piotr Skowyrski retaining his role and now joined by Damian Ziaja.[2] Known officially as Walki robotów 2 to reflect it being the second series, the show still took a 10pm timeslot but now aired on Tuesdays. Before its premiere, a unique thirty-second trailer was uploaded to the Discovery Channel Polska YouTube channel.[3]
It is unknown whether more seasons of the Walki robotów dub were produced for Discovery or any other domestic channel.
