Trent was a middleweight robot built by students of John Hersey High School which competed in BotsIQ 2008.

It was a four-wheeled, box-shaped robot with hinged skirts on its front and both sides. Trent sported a low profile and had pink spines towards the back of its top plate, and its name was machined into Trent's rear panel.

Trent lost two known fights, against eventual champion Copperhead III and Mighty Knight. It is also known to have scored two wins as well, although its opponents are not known.

The team behind Trent also built middleweight robots called My Bad, Superado, Fairy Princess - which also fought in the 2008 High School division.

Following the team's brief time competing in BotsIQ, John Hersey High School has since hosted annual robot combat events for their own students and those in local schools called The District 214 Robot Rumble.

Copperhead III stares down an inverted Trent. Trent's first fight in the 2008 High School bracket was against Copperhead III. Throughout the fight, Copperhead III was able to tear up Trent's side skirts and even flipped it over at one stage in the fight. Copperhead III took the win by judges' decision and Trent fell into the loser's bracket.
Trent vs. Mighty Knight File:Trent vs Mighty Knight BotsIQ 2008.png Trent and Mighty Knight lock horns. Here, Trent met Team Titanium Knights and Mighty Knight. Trent finished this fight taking shots from the pulverizer and Mighty Knight got the judges' nod, eliminating Trent.
