Toy Car was a heavyweight robot which competed in Season 5.0 of Comedy Central’s BattleBots.
It was a blue wedge-shaped robot armed with a 20lbs overhead rectangular spinning disk with four hammers jutting out, similar to the original Sharkbyte. The robot was 7' long by 2.5" wide by 6" tall, giving it a very low profile.[1] It ended up losing its only match of the competition.
Team captain Chris Pascheck was working at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory when he constructed Toy Car and is now the current CEO of Raven Defense.[2]

Toy Car vs. UpperCut Toy Car's first fight was against UpperCut. According to a press release from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, it was able to cause more damage to UpperCut than it sustained. However, it also lists UpperCut as a former champion, which it is not, so it is hard to know how much to believe from the article.[1] Toy Car ended up losing on a one-sided 9-36 judge's decision and was eliminated from the competition. |
