The Gow School is a high school based in South Wales, New York whose robotics team entered numerous BattleBots IQ competitions between 2004 and 2010.
The high school team fought exclusively with middleweight robots, first debuting with ADD in BattleBots IQ 2004. Their best success came in the 2009 High School Championships with Tin Shredder, which advanced through the bracket and only lost out to The Blender, finishing runner-up as a result.
Outside BattleBots[]
Founded in 1926 by Peter Gow Jr., The Gow School is a college prep boarding school for students with dyslexia and other learning difficulties concerning written and spoken language.
The school's robotics team would also enter numerous RoboGames competitions with Wrath and Uppercut, where the latter achieved bronze in the 2018 competition.[1] The school would go on to earn a gold medal in 2023 with the robot Copyright Infringement.
