Team Ribbot, formerly known as Team WPI, is an active team who have competed in every BattleBots season since World Championship IV with their heavyweight entry, Ribbot.
The team is made up of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) students, a Massachusetts-based research university. Led by WPI Robotics Club president David Jin, Team Ribbot earned a quarter-final finish in World Championship V.
Ribbot returned for BattleBots: Champions I, qualifying for the Golden Bolt tournament after an impressive display in its bracket, capped off with a win over BattleBots: Bounty Hunters winner Lock-Jaw. However, it lost in Round 1 of the Golden Bolt episode to eventual champions End Game.
Team Ribbot bested their 2020 finish in World Championship VII, even despite losing their first three Fight Night battles. After advancing into the tournament with a low seed, the Ribbot team made the semi-finals for the first time by overcoming Team Whyachi and Hydra, but were stopped in their tracks by eventual champion SawBlaze.
