Team Half-Life are a retired team which competed in four seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots. They are best known for their tracked superheavyweight, Atomic Wedgie, but also competed with lightweight Skid Mark and middleweight Booby Trap.
Across their BattleBots career, the team's best finish came in Season 2.0, where Atomic Wedgie finished runner-up in the superheavyweight division in its debut year.
The team attempted to return in 2016 for World Championship II with a revised version of Atomic Wedgie, known as Atomic Wedgie - Accelerator, but were not selected with that design. The team instead entered and were accepted with their ill-fated overhead spinner, HellaChopper, but were forced to withdraw due to safety concerns surrounding its tethered weaponry.
Team Members[]
Robert Everhart[]
Team Half-Life captain Robert Everhart was present for each of their competitions, and captained the team's unsuccessful entries also.
He is still in possession of Atomic Wedgie, having auctioned it for sale in late 2022.
Charlie Payne[]
Charlie Payne was the weapons operator of Atomic Wedgie, often seen controlling its tri-foil spinners, or in latter seasons, its vertical spinning flywheel.
