- "Gear up for some crazy robotic attacks with the Tazbot Grip and Grappler. He's intricate, he's organic, he's beautiful, but he's not looking to bond with his opponents. Watch out for Tazbot's lifting and twisting attacks and stellar defensive design, because otherwise you'll be buried alive."
- — The toy's official description on the BattleBots Store[1]
Tazbot was one of nine BattleBots competitors released as part of Jakks Pacific's line of Grip N' Grapplers toys in 2001.
Like every other toy in the range, the main robot was attached to a flexible, plastic tube connected to a pull trigger. When activated, the trigger would power Ziggo's iconic spinning shell.
In the case of Tazbot, its weak spots were its side wedges which were attached to its outer wheels. When struck, these would "explode" to signify the robot being knocked out. Its top turret could also come off. Tazbot also comes with a practice robot - Slicer.
