Tantrum was a lightweight robot built by Team Demolition (Now Known As APTYX Designs) which competed in Season 3.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
The first robot entered by future championship-winning builder Paul Ventimiglia, it was a blue and yellow, four-wheeled robot with a box-shaped chassis and pneumatic lifting forks as weaponry. Tantrum enjoyed limited success in its only season, losing its first match against Manic Aggressive.
Paul Ventimiglia would go on to build a series of highly-successful machines under Team Demolition and later, Aptyx Designs, including the middleweight Green Wave along with heavyweights Brutality and Bite Force.

Tantrum vs. Manic Aggressive Tantrum's only opponent in BattleBots was Manic Aggressive. In a largely uneventful fight, both robots pushed each other for the majority of the three minutes. Tantrum was able to execute two lifts but Manic Aggressive won on a 27-18 judges' decision, meaning Tantrum was eliminated from the tournament. |
