SweetRevenge ABCBB2015

Sweet Revenge.

Sweet Revenge was a heavyweight robot which competed in the first season of ABC's BattleBots reboot. It was built by a group of high school students from the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, who were mentored by Nola Garcia (builder and driver of Buddy Lee Don't Play in the Street). Sweet Revenge's main weapon was a horizontally-spinning bar which was friction-driven, as opposed to standard belt or chain drive. However, the team had issues getting the friction drive to work and ended up entering the arena without the weapon working.

Sweet Revenge did not return for Season 2 due to prior commitments involving Starbot, the team's main base of operations.

RadioactivevsSweetRevenge BB2015

Radioactive hits Sweet Revenge.

In its first battle, Sweet Revenge was drawn against Radioactive. Unfortunately, Sweet Revenge suffered from technical issues and was left with no weapon and little mobility. This led to a fight where Sweet Revenge could barely put forth an effort, and was struck by Radioactive's axe three or more times. The fight went to a judges' decision, which went in favor of the aggressor, Radioactive. Sweet Revenge was not offered a wildcard, and was eliminated from the tournament.

Sweet Revenge was due to compete in a nine bot rumble at the end of the tournament, but due to time restraints in filming, the rumble never happened.
