Snake was one of eight BattleBots competitors selected for the Battle Chains line of toys. As part of the First and Second Editions released by Jakks Pacific, Snake was one of four Battle Chains toys released in 2001.
It is easily identifiable as Mark Setrakian's iconic entry, though through necessity, the rear drill weapon seen on Mark Setrakian's superheavyweight was partially replaced by the chain and keyring which allows for the toy to be clipped onto personal belongings.
Like every other Battle Chains release, Snake had a keyring and chain attached which, when pulled, would activate its weaponry. In the case of Snake, the front jaws would close and open again when retracted.
The toy was sold individually in stores, and also in a pack of four through the BattleBots Store, priced at $15.00. This set also included the other three releases from the first two waves, BioHazard, OverKill and Mauler.
Trivia[]
- Despite Snake's status as a fan favorite, this was its only appearance in BattleBots merchandise.
- It was also the only non-wheeled robot to feature in the Battle Chains line of toys.
