Sisyphus as it appeared during Season 5.0.
Sisyphus was a lightweight robot which competed in seasons 3.0 and 5.0 of BattleBots. It was a four-wheeled drive wedge with a plow on the back. Sisyphus performed decently, reaching the round of 32 in its debut season.
Sisyphus was named after the figure in Greek mythology of the same name.
Robot History
Season 3.0
Sisyphus' Season 3.0 appearance.
Sisyphus' first match was against Parallax. Sisyphus won on a 30-15 judge's decision and Sisyphus fought Bad Bone next. Sisyphus won by KO and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced Pursuer. Sisyphus won on a 27-18 judge's decision and advanced to the round of 32, where it faced Death By Monkeys.
Death By Monkeys pushes Sisyphus onto the killsaws.
Sisyphus started pushing Death By Monkeys and then got caught flying from the killsaws, where the wire from the speed controller to the receiver fell out, resulting in a loss of control. Sisyphus then got two hits from Death By Monkeys and drove itself into the killsaws. Death By Monkeys was pushing Sisyphus from the rear and Sisyphus gets tossed by the killsaws again. Suddenly, Death By Monkeys got its spikes underneath Sisyphus and pushed it towards the killsaws. This impact got both on the killsaws, leaving a shower of sparks. Sisyphus suddenly stopped moving and Death By Monkeys pushed it onto the killsaws again. As Sisyphus was being counted out and started smoking moments after, Death By Monkeys was trying to push Sisyphus towards the pulverizer, but wasn't able to do so. In the end, Death By Monkeys won by KO and Sisyphus was eliminated from the tournament.
As of 2015, it is unknown if Sisyphus participated the lightweight consolation rumble during Season 3.0.
Season 5.0
Sisyphus' only match was against Concretor. Concretor won by KO and Sisyphus was eliminated from the tournament again.
