Not to be confused with Choo-Choo Bacca, which went by the name Simon Bar Sinister during BotsIQ 2010.
Simon Bar Spinister was a middleweight robot built by Ryan Engineering that participated the final season of Comedy Central BattleBots.
It was a two-wheeled robot armed with an undercutting blade, likely named after the antagonist from Underdog named Dr. Simon Bar Sinister. Simon Bar Spinister didn't do well in its only season as it lost its first and only match to Oh Debsy.
The team, comprised entirely of members of the Ryan family, previously competed in BattleBots in Season 3.0 with The Brainsters of Triskellian.

Simon Bar Spinister vs. Oh Debsy  Oh Debsy flips Simon Bar Spinister against the spikestrip. Simon Bar Spinister's first and only match in Season 5.0 was against Oh Debsy. In the match, Oh Debsy started lifting Simon Bar Spinister and pushed it against the spikestrip. After this, Simon Bar Spinister stopped moving and started smoking. Oh Debsy backed away and Simon Bar Spinister was counted out. Oh Debsy won the fight by KO and Simon Bar Spinister was eliminated from the tournament. |
