Not to be confused with the robot which competed in Seasons 4.0 and 5.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
Silverback was a 15lb robot built by Winchester High School which competed in multiple BattleBots IQ tournaments, as well as two Rumble at the Rock events.
It was a box-shaped robot with a wedge at the front. Silverback was armed with an overhead spinning bar made from titanium, later changed to a spinning disk.[1] It was very similar in design to another of the team's robots called Gorilla, and followed the same theme in its name. Both made their debuts in the 2007 event, and Silverback also fought in 2008.[2]
The team also built middleweight Echoe and 15lber The Hook.
