Shuriken was a middleweight robot built by students of Miami Coral Park Sr. High School which competed in BotsIQ 2008 in the High School division.
It was a two-wheel drive, cylindrical-shaped robot armed with a horizontal spinning bar. It featured various decals across the body, including the robot's name. The chasses was constructed out of welded metal tubing and covered in Lexan, just like the school's other entries. It had a very similar design to the team's other entry Rev with its only visible difference was having a cylindric chassis instead of an octagon shape. It did not reach a podium finish in 2008, meaning it is a safe assumption that Shuriken lost at least twice due to the event's double elimination format.
The high school also entered Big Robot, Spatulator, Frantic Tap, Rev, and iWedge into the 2008 middleweight class along with Mini Class entry The Wedgie, though it is unknown if these were all from the same team.

Shuriken vs. Thunderstruck Shuriken also took on the similarly designed Thunderstruck at some point. Just like its previously mentioned fight, nothing about this fight is currently known.[2] |
Shuriken vs. Rev Shuriken was also known to have fought another fellow Miami Coral Park Sr. High School entry, Rev. The two very similarly looking robots spun up and slowly approached each other. After exchange a blow with equal force from both robots, Rev became immobile and Shuriken won the fight by knockout.[3] |
