ShowBots are the name given to unique builds of BattleBots competitors made specifically for the live event BattleBots: Destruct-A-Thon.

They are typically based on existing competitors, and are designed to be easier to maintain than standard main season builds. ShowBots are operated by professional drivers as opposed to the team which designed and built the robot they are based on. Although designed to the traditional 250lb heavyweight limit, they are built with durability in mind and exceed this limit in some cases. HyperShock, for example, uses a thicker chassis and more shock mounting to tolerate the amount of battles ShowBots will be expected to fight in, and Malice's ShowBots weigh 315lbs.[1]

A minimum of 12 ShowBots have been confirmed for the live show, built by current and former BattleBots competitors, in some cases with assistance from Hal Rucker. In June 2023, it was announced that Bronco would be joining Destruct-A-Thon, but using old versions of the bot that had previously competed on BattleBots, rather than new builds with the same specifications as the ShowBots.
