Shellshock's Discovery Season 4 appearance.
Shellshock is a heavyweight robot that competed in the fourth season of the BattleBots reboot on Discovery and Science. It is a full body spinner designed like a turtle or tortoise with three teeth. The shell can also be interchanged depending on the opponent. What makes the robot unique is it bares not only a drive system similar to The Ringmaster in Season 2, but they also included an electromagnet drive system like other robots tried before.
What set it different is the wheels can be raised into the bots chassis and lowered back when needed, giving Shellshock its name.
Robot History
Discovery Season 4
Shellshock's first ever match in BattleBots was against newcomer Railgun MAX. Things didn't go well for Shellshock as the first hit they took ripped off one of their shell's teeth, leaving the spinning shell unbalanced. With little offense and defense, Shellshock took another big hit, sending them flying into the arena lexan before they landed upright. By now, they had stopped moving but Railgun Max delivered a final hit that flipped them over. Shellshock was counted out as Railgun MAX was also smoking, but Railgun MAX took the win by KO. After the fight however, one of Shellshock's damaged batteries that had fallen out of place began smoking but it was quickly extinguished.
Shellshock was also placed against Nelly The Ellybot. As the match got underway, Shellshock struggled to get its shell spinning to a threatening speed and was only able to dish out minor hits. With little offense and defense, Shellshock was eventually pushed into the screws, taking minor damage from both it and Nelly's hammer. Shellshock then made a bad driving mistake and hit the arena barrier with its weapon going full speed. This impact sent it just short of the pulverizer and disabled its drive system. Still spinning at top speed, Shellshock was counted out, giving Nelly The Ellybot the win by KO.
