Shellshock

Shell Shock's Discovery Season 4 appearance.

Shell Shock is a heavyweight robot that competed in the fourth season of the BattleBots reboot on Discovery and Science. It is a full body spinner designed like a turtle or tortoise with three teeth. The shell can also be interchanged depending on the opponent. What makes the robot unique is it bares not only a drive system similar to The Ringmaster in Season 2, but they also included an electromagnet drive system like other robots tried before.

What sets it different is the wheels can be raised into the bots chassis and lowered back when needed, giving Shell Shock its name.

Robot History

Discovery Season 4

Shell Shock's first ever match in BattleBots was against newcomer Railgun MAX. Things didn't go well for Shell Shock as the first hit they took ripped off one of their shell's teeth, leaving the spinning shell unbalanced. With little offense and defense, Shell Shock took another big hit, sending them flying into the arena lexan before they landed upright. By now, they had stopped moving but Railgun Max delivered a final hit that flipped them over. Shell Shock was counted out as Railgun MAX was also smoking, but Railgun MAX took the win by KO. After the fight, however, Shell Shock began to catch fire but it was quickly extinguished.
