SHREDDIT BRO!, also known simply as Shreddit Bro, is a heavyweight robot built by Team Shreddit which debuted in BattleBots World Championship VII.
Built as a direct successor to the team's previous entry, Pain Train, SHREDDIT BRO! is an upscaled version of the team's highly successful 3lb robot of the same name. Unlike its smaller version, however, SHREDDIT BRO!'s 250lb build is four-wheel drive, sporting large rubber wheels to keep the robot invertible. These wheels are unprotected, lacking the wheelguards seen on the 3lb Shreddit Bro and the CAD revealed to Facebook Supporters ahead of the season airing, but are made from a tough, vulcanized rubber similar to the Brazil wheels seen on robots such as Whiplash and adopted by SawBlaze ahead of the tournament. SHREDDIT BRO! also featured TPU rubber bumpers either side of the primary weapon to absorb hits from the front. Evan Arias cited weapon reliability as one of the biggest improvements between it and Pain Train, and the weapon itself is a 60lb eggbeater drum spinner spinning at 190mph.

It was revealed by the team in July 2022 that Pain Train would be retired by a robot bearing the SHREDDIT BRO! name,[1] and in the weeks that followed, Evan Arias confirmed SHREDDIT BRO!'s acceptance in the reply to a BattleBots Facebook group post.[2] Team Shreddit stated they would reveal the final design for SHREDDIT BRO! after the conclusion of the July National Havoc Robot League event.[3] However, it was not until October 2022 that SHREDDIT BRO!'s finalized design would be shared publicly. SHREDDIT BRO!'s first fight came in Episode 4, against the rookie bot Horizon. Despite both robots struggling throughout the three minutes, Team Shreddit began their season with a win, but then lost its next two matches to Ominous and Lucky. In its best performance of the season, SHREDDIT BRO! ended a difficult Fight Night run with a close win over Overhaul. Ultimately, despite its 2-2 record, it did not break into the Round of 32.
In September 2023, Team Shreddit confirmed their inclusion into the first episode of BattleBots: Champions II. Between the Fight Night rounds and this side series, the team sought help from Rory Mangles of Team Monsoon to help tune their speed controllers.[4] Among other improvements, this contributed to a much stronger display as SHREDDIT BRO! defeated Skorpios, Switchback and Valkyrie to punch its ticket into the Golden Bolt tournament. Unfortunately, its run for the Golden Bolt fell disastrously short by the far more aggressive and experienced Jamison Go and SawBlaze, having its LiPo battery sliced open by SawBlaze and ending its dream run altogether.
The team confirmed their application for World Championship VIII[5], with improvements concerning weight distribution, new speed controllers for their motors and a more reliable weapon shaft according to an October 2022 Reddit AMA.[6]

SHREDDIT BRO! vs. SawBlaze
In the first round of the Golden Bolt bracket, SHREDDIT BRO! fought World Championship VII Giant Nut winner SawBlaze. Prior to the match, captain Evan Arias expressed his appreciation for Jamison Go's hammer saw, while anticipating a difficult duel. ![]() SHREDDIT BRO! is pinned onto the side of the Upper Deck as SawBlaze attacks. ![]() SawBlaze reverses as SHREDDIT BRO! begins to smoke.
SHREDDIT BRO! was first dragged backwards and then into the corner of the Upper Deck. After some difficulty in maneuvering, SHREDDIT BRO! was then dragged into the gap between the Screws before being driven into the left-hand screws, where it was held for several seconds. Finally, it was reversed by SawBlaze and driven first into the top pulverizer, and then back towards the drivers' booth. However, at this stage, smoke emitted by SHREDDIT BRO! had greatly worsened visibility, with a leak being visible and SawBlaze remaining unable to dislodge itself from SHREDDIT BRO! ![]() Neither robot is visible as smoke fills the arena. |

Faruq Tauheed Introductions[]
"From Staten Island, New York, here to check your Shreddit report and deny you on a lease on life, it's SHREDDIT BRO!"
"This lo-fi darling came out of nowhere. Now he's making the rounds. Trying to be a legend, even though he's like your corpse underground. He's not big but you'll get hipster cred if he hits you with his tool. And you can say, 'Yeah, he killed me before he was cool.' It's SHREDDIT BRO!"
"This New York bot will put you underground, like a subway tunnel that's been abandoned. And like that city, you'll never sleep for fear of the death that you'll be handed. So run for Jersey. Hit the turnpike, or your demise, it couldn't be gorier. And beware this team in Sin City, 'cause man, they look like warriors. It's SHREDDIT BRO!"
