Ringmaster sf02

Ringmaster.

Not to be confused with the robot that fought in the 2016 series of BattleBots.

Ringmaster (also known as The Ringmaster) was a heavyweight robot that competed in Season 5.0 of BattleBots. It ran on tracks and was armed with a spinning toothed ring, hence its name. This was powered by an E-Tek motor which was chained to two sprockets which spun Colson wheels, which powered the ring with their friction.

It was owned by Team Think Tank, which also entered Mad Cow Bot into Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors and InTriVerter into Robotica.

It was very similar to Season 3.0 robot Spinne.

Ringmaster hits Tazbot as its batteries die, which gives Ringmaster the upset victory.

In this match, Ringmaster attacked Tazbot, but its ring wasn't doing much damage to the rear plow on Tazbot. Ringmaster delivered a small hit to Tazbot's wheel before a second hit knocked Tazbot a good distance away. Ringmaster got another good hit in before Tazbot got control and pushed Ringmaster around, Ringmaster spinning in circles all the while. Ringmaster was rammed once by Tazbot after escaping, and after this hit Tazbot stopped moving. Ringmaster went on the attack, ripping into the front of Tazbot and shearing a piece of metal off. Ringmaster hit Tazbot again, this time knocking it onto the killsaws. Ringmaster took a small hit from the killsaws itself, doing no damage. Tazbot was then counted out. A post-fight analysis showed that Tazbot's batteries had died, meaning Ringmaster's attacks didn't cause the knockout and Tazbot was out of the competition. Ringmaster then fought Omega-13 in the round of 16, but it lost by KO.

Ringmaster couldn't compete in the heavyweight royal rumble because the rest of the rumbles were canceled due to an accident with Nightmare during the heavyweight consolation rumble.
