Red Scorpion was one of six BattleBots competitors produced by Tiger Electronics as part of their Bump 'N' Bash Bots line of toys.
It was paired alongside Complete Control as well as a small plastic arena which could be connected together and had suction cups to attach it to a smooth surface.
The toy was based on the Season 2.0 build of Red Scorpion, which lost its one and only fight in the middleweight division before losing in the Consolation Rumble.
Each toy had impact sensors on their bodies which, when hit, would explode the robot's armor and immobilize it. These were also referred to as "danger zones" on the instruction sheet included with every twin-pack.
Like every other Bump 'N' Bash Bots toy, it needed four AAA batteries to operate. Released exclusively in a two-pack, the set cost $19.99.
