Outside BattleBots[]
Ransom Everglades Robotics is the robotics team for Miami's Ransom Everglades college-preparatory day school. In 1974, it formed as a result of the Everglades School for Girls and the Ransom School for Boys merging. The school fields teams in many other sports, including but not limited to baseball, football, soccer and baseball.
The Ransom Everglades Robotics team behind BotsIQ competitors also fought at various Mayhem in Miami events, with BotsIQ entries and other builds, such as ROFL and Mad Cow.[1][2] Ransom Everglades Robotics have continued to compete at various events since the formation of Team HyperShock, notably fighting at Robot Ruckus in 2021, 2023 and 2024.[3] Mayhem in Miami events have also continued as recently as 2017, co-hosted by Team HyperShock and fellow Miami natives Team Witch Doctor.[4]
