PyRAMidroid was a heavyweight robot built by Team Robot Dojo that competed in Seasons 3.0 and 4.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was a pyramid-shaped robot (hence the name) armed with two serrated top grabbers that would capture a robot and drag it into the hazards. It didn't perform very well, but made it into the televised rounds of Season 4.0. It originally had separate skirts, but they were tied together for Season 4.0.

PyRAMidroid was originally named PyRAMidion, armed with two pneumatic spike weapons, but it was converted to PyRAMidroid before the team's tech inspection.

PyRAMidroid would be sold to a Brendan from Medford, Oregon.

Robot History[]

Season 3.0[]

Pyramidion

PyRAMidroid's first and only match in Season 3.0 was against Bacchus. PyRAMidroid proved to be very effective, and it had little problem getting under Bacchus. However, the aluminum skirts got bent up from all the ramming that PyRAMidroid performed. This meant that Bacchus was able to get under with ease for the rest of the fight. Bacchus won on a 32-13 judges' decision and PyRAMidroid was eliminated from the tournament.

Season 4.0[]

PyRAMidroid was scheduled to fight Nemesis first, but Nemesis had technical issues and was forced to forfeit. PyRAMidroid won by default and advanced to the final preliminary round, where it faced InTriVerter. In the beginning of the match, PyRAMidroid immediately got underneath InTriVerter. Every time InTriVerter went over PyRAMidroid, InTriVerter landed on the BattleBox floor hard, almost flipping itself over. InTriVerter was hard to push because it kept rolling over PyRAMidroid, but eventually it managed to push PyRAMidroid against the spikestrip. InTriVerter drives over PyRAMidroid once more and the time ran out. PyRAMidroid won on a 27-18 judges' decision and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced M.O.E.

M.O.E. tears a piece off of PyRAMidroid.

The first hit from M.O.E. slightly bent one of the capturing devices on PyRAMidroid and rendered it useless. PyRAMidroid retaliated by pushing M.O.E. across the BattleBox into the killsaws, and took a shot. M.O.E. then put 2 heavy hits on either side of PyRAMidroid, cutting into the armor. This left one of the capturing devices of PyRAMidroid dangling behind the robot. M.O.E. continued to strike PyRAMidroid, causing more damage and destroying the left side drivetrain of PyRAMidroid, leaving it to spin in circles. The next hit sent the destroyed capturing device flying across the arena. M.O.E. began cutting in to the shell of PyRAMidroid and eventually incapacitated it. M.O.E. won by KO in 1:25 and PyRAMidroid was eliminated from the tournament again.
