Push Strikes were a short-lived toy line released by HEXBUG following 2015 season of the BattleBots reboot on ABC.
They were the smallest replica toys produced by HEXBUG, and were also the cheapest, typically selling for $4.99 per toy. They were released individually and had just the one moving part. Spinning weapons were often connected to a drive wheel, however some of the lifting and flipping weapons were finger-operated instead.
Though prototypes for a second wave of toys were announced and revealed, no more have been released since 2016, much like the Clutch and Clash line of toys. HEXBUG have, however, continued to produce infrared remote control toys, releasing at least two per year since their first wave.
In 2021, the HEXBUG YouTube channel responded to a comment asking why this was the case, to which they said "the hype wasn't there enough for us to continue the past couple of years", but did not rule out the potential of them making a comeback in the future.[1]
