Psycho Splatter was a heavyweight robot which competed in Season 3.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was a black wedge-shaped robot armed with an overhead spinning saw blade. It didn't perform well in competition, losing its first match to Bad Badger. It was rebuilt into a superheavyweight wedge-shaped robot armed with interchangeable circular sawblades and movable bars for BattleBots NPC Charity Open 2004, where it both won and lost two battles as well as reaching the loser's bracket quarterfinals.
Robot History[]
Season 3.0[]
Psycho Splatter's first ever match in Season 3.0 was against Bad Badger. Bad Badger won by KO at 1:03 and Psycho Splatter was eliminated from the tournament.
2004 NPC Charity Open[]
Psycho Splatter II's first match was against Star Hawk 3.0. The fight started with Star Hawk spinning up to full speed, and colliding with Psycho Splatter II. This allowed Psycho Splatter to get underneath Star Hawk, however Star Hawk got away, and attempted to charge at Psycho Splatter but just wound up high centering itself on the wall after driving into it full speed. Psycho Splatter then freed Star Hawk, which attacked the side of its opponent with its flywheel. Star Hawk then climbed on top of the rear of Psycho Splatter, and the two robots were locked together for a few seconds before Psycho Splatter managed to shake Star Hawk free. Star Hawk then drove at Psycho Splatter, and slapped it with the side of the robot. After this Star Hawk charged at Psycho Splatter once more, driving up its wedge. However Psycho Splatter couldn't do anything as it lacked the drive power to shove Star Hawk around. Star Hawk then attacked the side of Psycho Splatter with its flywheel again, before driving around and attacking the rear. Star Hawk then drove onto Psycho Splatter's wedge, and started shoving it around the arena before taking it to the arena wall. Star Hawk then drove up Psycho Splatter's wedge again, but only succeeded in slamming into the wall full speed. Star Hawk then got to the side of Psycho Splatter once more, and shunted it into the wall, and proceeded to shove it some more as time ran out. Star Hawk won the judges' decision and Psycho Splatter was no in the loser's bracket, where it faced Zeus.
When the match began, Zeus advanced towards Psycho Splatter and gets hit on the the left side-spikes with Zeus' discs, though causing little damage. After Zeus got its discs back up to speed and tapping the left side of Psycho Splatter, Zeus made direct contact with Psycho Splatter's wedge, which only stopped Zeus' discs. After a bit of maneuvering, Zeus delivers a bite to the rear end of Psycho Splatter. Zeus delivers another bite to Psycho Splatter near the corner, only for its weapon to shut down, leading to a pushing match. Zeus pushes Psycho Splatter with its plow, but fortunately for Psycho Splatter, it lacked the pushing power to shove it anywhere. Zeus then turns around and pushes using the end with its discs. The pushing match went to a standstill for a while before Psycho Splatter relents, causing Zeus to run straight into the wall and seemingly get stuck on it. Zeus got rammed by Psycho Splatter in an effort to get free from the wall, to no avail. Zeus was counted out, giving Psycho Splatter the win by KO and advanced to the next round of the loser's bracket, where it faced Nitro SOW.
This match was rather boring as both Nitro SOW and Psycho Splatter II were having driving issues. After a few small nudges between both robots, the time ran out and Psycho Splatter II won on a close judges' decision and advanced to the quarterfinals, where it faced Shovelhead. Psycho Splatter lost this match and was eliminated from the tournament.
