Proto-Type 4 was a superheavyweight robot built by Team Black Ops, which competed in Season 4.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
It was a two-wheel drive, invertible robot armored in a tire. Proto-Type 4's weaponry came in the form of a spinning steel morse taper reamer at the front. The robot did not perform well in competition, losing its first match to Road Rage.

The team who built Proto-Type 4 also participated in the heavyweight division with Black Ops, the middleweight division with M.I.A., and the lightweight division with A.W.O.L., but did not find any more success.

Proto-Type 4 vs. Road Rage Proto-Type 4's first and only fight in BattleBots was against Road Rage. Proto-Type 4's steel morse taper reamer hits the BattleBox floor as it turned and it stopped after the first hit on Road Rage. The robots pushed each other for a while and then Proto-Type 4 broke down. Road Rage pushed the immobilized Proto-Type 4 around the BattleBox before it was counted out. Road Rage won the fight by KO and Proto-Type 4 was eliminated from the tournament. |
