Problem Child, originally known as Spare Parts, was a middleweight robot which competed in the final three seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots.

It was a two-wheel drive robot armed with a 25lb horizontal spinning flywheel. The rear of Problem Child originally sported ablative armor, but this was changed to a pair of spikes and then a wedge as the robot evolved between seasons. Problem Child performed modestly in competition, winning one fight in each season it competed in.

The team also competed in Season 5.0 with their lightweight Miss Dee Meaner, which was less successful than Problem Child.

Outside BattleBots[]

Problem Child competed outside of BattleBots at Steel Conflict 2 in February 2003 and Steel Conflict 3 in May 2003. Problem Child was able to rack up wins over Lupus Ex Luna and Oh Debsy before suffering losses to Moloch and Titan. It was less successful at Steel Conflict 3 suffering one loss to Chopper with no second match[1], likely due to damage sustained in its initial fight.
