Outlaw was a middleweight robot built by Mike Rede which competed in the final three seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was a white (later black) square-shaped robot armed with an overhead spinning blade (which had to be removed for Season 5.0 due to safety issues) and wedges on both sides for Season 5.0. It didn't perform well in competition, winning only one match over its three seasons. The team also entered with their lightweight Burning Metal which was able to make it to the TV rounds of Season 5.0.

Season 3.0[]
Outlaw's first and only match in Season 3.0 was against Evil Con Carne in the first preliminary round. Evil Con Carne won on a 33-12 judges' decision and Outlaw was eliminated from the tournament.
Season 4.0[]
Outlaw's first match in Season 4.0 was against Iron Soldier in the first preliminary round. During the match, both bots had troubles and neither showed much control. Iron Soldier got stuck under the spikes, but managed to free itself. Then Iron Soldier got stuck again, this time though Outlaw rammed Iron Soldier free. But Iron Soldier got stuck a third time, and when Outlaw rammed Iron Soldier free, Iron Soldier stopped moving all together. Outlaw was still not having much control, but when its opponent was sitting there immobile and Outlaw could line up a shot, it was very strong. In the end, the time ran out and Outlaw won on a 43-2 judges' decision. This win put Outlaw to the next preliminary round, where it faced Psychotron.

Before the match began, Mike Rede removed the spinning blade and added a wedge on the front of Outlaw in order to get underneath Psychotron. Psychotron had a big speed advantage here. Outlaw tried spinning in place to defend itself;

as Psychotron probably would not have had a hard time getting around to its back and sides. It didn't work well. Psychotron hit Outlaw and pushed it around, easily getting under. The robots then took turns getting each other up on their wedges and slamming each other into walls. Psychotron's lifter got stuck in the up position. However, Psychotron's early dominance was enough to win on a 24-21 judges' decision. This meant that Outlaw was eliminated from the tournament again.
Season 5.0[]
Outlaw's only match in Season 5.0 was against Trainwreck in the second preliminary round. Trainwreck won on a 31-14 judges' decision and Outlaw was eliminated from the tournament once again.
