Offbeat Robotics are an active BattleBots team who have competed in every season since World Championship II.
Originally entering Skorpios into the 2016, 2018 and 2019 competitions, team captain Orion Beach sold the robot to Bots Bash Party Crew. He carried the Offbeat Robotics name over to a new build from World Championship V onward - HiJinx.
Outside BattleBots[]
Offbeat Robotics have competed in RoboGames with Crisp and Electric Boogaloo. The latter became a silver medalist during RoboGames 2012 and earned third place at ComBots Cup VII.

Jen Herchenroeder[]
Jen Herchenroeder is a prototype and manufacturing engineer with experience in Power Racing events, having competed with Pokémon and Lightning McQueen themed vehicles in the past. She is HiJinx and Offbeat Robotics' current team captain.
Orion Beach[]
Lead engineer and driver of HiJinx, Orion Beach has been building robots since 2004, notably designing and competing alongside Dan Chatterton with Electric Boogaloo in RoboGames and Combots Cup competitions over the years. He designed the early versions of Skorpios, credited as such with the robot entering under the team name Offbeat Robotics from its debut up to the 2019 season.[1]
In late 2019, he built a miniature version of Skorpios called Skorpios Jr., which fought a version of HUGE built by Diana Tarlson called Super Ultra Mega Tiny HUGE.[2]
Zach Lytle & Diana Tarlson[]
Part of the team for Skorpios' first three seasons, Zach and Diana were sold the robot in 2019 and have piloted it ever since under Bot Bash Party Crew.
Madeline Hagan[]
Aerospace engineer Madeline Hagan joined Offbeat Robotics in 2020. She currently competes with a 3lb robot called Left Unsupervised.
