ODDNOTT (originally named ODDBOTT prior to 2010) was a middleweight robot built by the Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School, which competed in various BattleBots and BotsIQ High School events.
An invertible, two-wheel drive machine with a box-wedge shape, ODDBOTT originally competed in the Large Class division of the 2005 BattleBots IQ event, finishing with a 5-2 win/loss record.[3] It continued to attend subsequent events under different incarnations, its most successful run being at the 2008 BotsIQ championships as ODDBOTT 3.5. ODDBOT 3.5 reached the final round of the 120lb High School championship upon defeating the drum spinner of Copperhead III in the semi-finals,[4] but ultimately finished runner-up after a destructive knockout loss in their subsequent rematch.[5]
Another updated version of ODDBOTT fought in the 2009 High School Championship as ODDBOTT 3.75, reaching the fourth round of the main bracket before losing to eventual runner-up Tin Shredder. Despite picking up another win against shell spinner PanDEMONium, ODDBOTT 3.75 would be eliminated following a further loss against BABS, a BioHazard-style lifter built by Team Whyachi.[6]
For the 2010 BotsIQ National Championships, ODDBOTT was renamed to ODDNOTT,[7] though an article by the Worcester Telegram & Gazette still referred to it by its previous identity.[1] Here, it enjoyed its biggest success up to this point, winning the 120lb High School championship outright against ODDENNDS, Bay Path's second entry for the same division.
