Nicolas-Bonaventure "Cartman" Ciattoni (born September 7, 1978) is a French actor and comedian who co-presented BattleBots: Le Choc des Robots alongside media personality Issa Doumbia.

Born on the French-owned island of Corsica, Nicolas Ciattoni became known as "Cartman" due to voice bearing a likeness to that of the South Park character Eric Cartman.

BattleBots: Le Choc des Robots was a French dub of the 2015 season which premiered on May 14 2019, with two episodes airing back-to-back starting at 9pm on French network Gulli. Each episode was 45 minutes in length, and the dub was later repeated in 2020 on the French channel M6.[2]

The English commentary of Chris Rose and Kenny Florian was replaced for a French-speaking audience, with both co-presenters performing their presenting and commentary roles in front of a green screen.[3]

Outside BattleBots[]

Nicolas Ciattoni is known to have voiced The Muppets character Scooter for the French adaptation of the show, known as Muppets TV. Away from acting, he is known for his work with tongue-in-cheek music, often parodying more famous artists.

Under his pseudonym Sébastian Patoche, he released "La Cartouche", a parody of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines.[4] He then released Quand Il Pète Il Troue Son Slip under the same name, both of which have amassed over 25,000,000 views on YouTube.[5] Nicolas Ciattoni later released two albums in 2013 and 2014, titled J'emmerde Les Bobos! and Look d'Enfer. Later in 2014, Cartman released Beau Black which featured both his Sébastian Patoche character as well as a second character named Jimmy Foxtrot.

More recently, Nicolas Ciattoni was a contestant on the French version of Fort Boyard in 2015, 2017 and 2018. He then appeared on the gameshow Le Grand Concours for network TF1 in 2018.

he has lent himself to the 2020 film Comment je suis devenu super-héros (How I Became a Super Hero), where he played a character called Lorenzi.

  • He is a keen representative of multiple charities fighting against AIDS, notably working with an annual fundraiser called Sidaction.
  • Nicolas Ciattoni is not the only known BattleBots personality to have ties with The Muppets. "The Bot Whisperer" Pete Abrahamson from later seasons of the original US airing of BattleBots was credited for puppeteering work on The Muppets.
