Negative Reinforcement was a heavyweight robot which competed in Season 3.0 of Comedy CentralBattleBots. It was a purple square-shaped robot armed with a pneumatic jaw and two movable arms which lifted the robot up. It didn't perform well in competition, losing its first match against Slam Job.
It also entered the first season of Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors as Sobek which had a little success: it did manage to defeat The Revolutionist. Negative Reinforcement also entered the first season of Robotica, but it was an alternate and did not compete.
Builder Glen Sears also built the superheavyweight Anubis which was more successful.
Negative Reinforcement's only match in BattleBots was against Slam Job in the final preliminary round. For most of the match, Slam Job pushed Negative Reinforcement against the spikestrip and starts hitting it with its axe. One of these hits caused Negative Reinforcement's batteries to break through the battery box and CO2 was leaking out, leaving it weaponless. In the end, the time ran out and Slam Job won the fight on a 33-12 judges' decision. This win put Slam Job in the TV rounds while Negative Reinforcement was eliminated from the tournament.
