Mr. Chuckalot was a middleweight robot built by Team Basenji which competed at the BattleBots-sanctioned R3: Rochester Robot Rampage event in 2005.
It was a red and white, four-wheeled robot with a wedged box-shape and a set of lifting forks, its general shape and armament being similar to those of Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors heavyweight Probophobia.
Mr Chuckalot enjoyed a strong start in the middleweight bracket with a controlling victory over Terminal Velocity, but was in turn defeated by Falcon after sustaining heavy damage to its forks and being unable to self-right following a flip. The damage proved too great for Mr. Chuckalot to continue in the Loser's Bracket, forcing it to forfeit its planned third fight against Secret Weapon.
Team Basenji (previously Team Chipper Monkey) also competed in the Middleweight division of Season 4.0 with Chipper Monkey, but with no combat victories. A 1lb antweight robot similar to Mr. Chuckalot, Otis, was also created by the team and actively competed at North American live events throughout the mid-to-late 2000s.[1] The team would continue to compete with a number of other robots until the end of the decade, most notably with their Nickelodeon Robot Wars and Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors entry Basenji.

Mr. Chuckalot vs Terminal Velocity  Mr. Chuckalot lifts Terminal Velocity.  Mr. Chuckalot hoists Terminal Velocity over its back. After receiving a bye in the first round of the main Middleweight bracket, Mr. Chuckalot's first opponent was Terminal Velocity. This fight started with Terminal Velocity being box rushed by Mr. Chuckalot, in an attempt to flip it before it reached full speed. However Terminal Velocity's blade struck Mr. Chuckalot's lifter, and bent one of the prongs. Terminal Velocity then got around to the rear of Mr. Chuckalot, and popped it into the air, before attacking its side, and peeling up Mr. Chuckalot's rear left top armor. Following this Terminal Velocity went for a frontal attack on Mr. Chuckalot, which promptly flipped it, destroying Terminal Velocity's top weapon casters in the process. This meant that Terminal Velocity could not use its weapon until it was righted, Mr. Chuckalot then got under Terminal Velocity, and hoisted it onto its side. However Terminal Velocity recovered, and Mr. Chuckalot lifted it again. After a few more lifts Mr. Chuckalot took Terminal Velocity to the Pulverizer where after a shot from the hazard it became high-centered on the arena I beams, and was counted out. |
Mr. Chuckalot vs Falcon   Falcon rips off Mr. Chuckalot's right fork.   Falcon gets its drum under Mr. Chuckalot.   Falcon kicks Mr. Chuckalot onto its back. This put Mr. Chuckalot through to the next round where it faced Falcon. It initially stood up well to an early side-on blow from Team Whyachi's drum spinner, popping it into the air, and dodged its opponent while making a run up for a head-on charge. However, the collision resulted in Mr. Chuckalot losing its right fork to Falcon's drum, severely limiting its offensive capability as it tried to evade and tanked two more blows. Another attack from Falcon ripped off part of Mr. Chuckalot's remaining fork, at which point Mr. Chuckalot was spun around while resting on top of Falcon's front end. Following more pushes, nudges and evasive driving from both competitors, Mr. Chuckalot suddenly stopped near the center of the BattleBox. This allowed Falcon to grind and eventually flip it onto its back, from where Mr. Chuckalot could not self-right. This damaging knock-out loss consigned Mr. Chuckalot to the Loser's Bracket. |
Mr. Chuckalot vs Secret Weapon Due to the damage inflicted to it in its previous bout, Mr. Chuckalot could not be repaired in time and was forced to forfeit this battle against Secret Weapon. This eliminated it from the Middleweight division. |
