Minotaur was one of four BattleBots competitors to be chosen by HEXBUG for the planned second wave of their Push Strike line of toys.
Though showcased at the New York Toy Fair event in 2017 and intended to be released later that year, it and the other toys in that wave were cancelled and only prototypes remain.[1]
As with other toys planned for the second wave of Push Strike toys, it is based on the World Championship II version of Minotaur. Despite its size, it is highly accurate to the real bot, with the top panel's bull and other decals displayed with great attention to detail.
In terms of scale, it is the smallest of the eight total Push Strike toys, being slightly longer but considerably narrower than Witch Doctor's Push Strike toy. Minotaur's front forks are molded into the chassis and it sports its gold-colored drum spinner which rotates as the toy is moved forwards and backwards.
Although the Push Strike line was discontinued after 2016, Team RioBotz's heavyweight received merchandise not too long after in the form of a HEXBUG remote control toy.
