As part of a series released by Road Champs in 2001, Minion was 1 of 9 licensed

The prototype of the toy. Note the lack of the front wedge and unpainted bolts around the top part of the robot.

BattleBots made for the Battle Basher range. It is based on the Season 2.0 version of Minion, due to the circular saw and sponsor logos. Like the other Battle Bashers, if the robot has been hit hard enough or a certain button is pressed, parts of the body will "explode." In the case of Minion, the motor cover at the back will pop up and the side panels will push outward. Unfortunately, the drive belt that allows the weapon to move as the toy is pushed along will not stay in its proper place and instead slides into the tiny space between the weapon support and the weapon's axle.

Minion is one of only four Battle Bashers to not use separate wheels powered only by the friction motor and instead uses all six wheels for movement. The others being Backlash, Vlad the Impaler, and BioHazard.
