Maddgoth was a middleweight robot built by Team Crash which competed in the final three seasons of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was a black rectangular robot armed with an arrangement of metal at the front which served as a battering ram. It didn't perform well in competition, winning only one match overall. Team Crash also built Dracolich which competed in Season 4.0 to similar success. Team leader Bill Bottenburg tragically passed away in 2007.

Season 3.0[]

Maddgoth's first and only match in Season 3.0 was against Lobotomy. Lobotomy won on a 40-5 judges' decision and Maddgoth was eliminated from the tournament.

Season 4.0[]

Maddgoth's first match in Season 4.0 was against Why Not. Maddgoth rammed Why Not as the light turned green and both robots were knocked around the BattleBox. These hits immobilized Why Not and it was being counted out. Maddgoth won by KO and advanced to the final preliminary round, where it faced Caliban.

In the beginning, Caliban got under Maddgoth and pushed it around the BattleBox and later against the spikestrip. Both robots maneuvered and pushed each other for a while. Eventually, Maddgoth maneuvered itself against the arena wall. Caliban pushed Maddgoth against the spikestrip again and Maddgoth was now stuck. It was being counted out and Caliban won by TKO. This meant that Maddgoth was eliminated from the tournament again.

Season 5.0[]

Maddgoth's only match in Season 5.0 was against Darkness. In the beginning of the match, both robots went straight at each other, but missed in the middle of the BattleBox. Maddgoth turned around and started chasing Darkness. Darkness started spinning and hits Maddgoth from the front. This hit caused one of Maddgoth's spiked teeth to come off. Both robots backed up and went straight at each other again. This collision caused Maddgoth to lose more spiked teeth. After this, Maddgoth slammed into the front of Darkness, bending one of the support arms. The time ran out after this and Darkness won on a close 24-21 judges' decision. This meant that Maddgoth was eliminated from the tournament once again.

Mini Maddgoth

Maddgoth was redesigned after BattleBots, keeping it as an invertible rammer, named Maddgoth MK2. This updated version upgraded the drive from two to four wheels with slightly less protection and aver singular large spike at the front. Maddgoth MK2 would fight in War-Bots Xtreme 3 and 4. Maddgoth MK 2 was able to get a 2-2 record at WBX 3[1] and was the champion of WBX 4.[2]

The team also built a 12lbs version of Maddgoth named Mini Maddgoth that's known to have a 1-1 record.[3]
