It was a silver, two wheeled, invertible robot. It was supposed to be armed with two vertically-spinningspiked domes shaped to resemble two halves of a mace weapon. However, for unknown reasons, these were not added to the robot and it entered the competition weaponless. The team were assisted in the design of Mace was assisted by Mutt O'Matic and Chad New.[1] Mace was also a relatively small robot even by hobbyweight standards, and this combined with its lack of active weaponry resulted in it doing poorly in the competition.
Mace would continue competing in various events, eventually adding vertical spinning bars in place of the originally-proposed weapon. It officially retired in 2006.

Mace vs. VBT12
VBT12 looks on as Mace's team tap out.
After receiving a bye in the first round Mace's first opponent was VBT12. This fight started with VBT12 coming out of its square, and flipping Mace several times before throwing it near the arena wall. This caused Mace to stop moving, and Mace's team tapped out.
Mace vs. War Drums
Mace is immobilized.
Mace then fought War Drums in the loser's bracket. As soon as this fight started Mace was only able to move in circles, this allowed War Drums to come in, and send it flying. War Drums then slammed into the wall before delivering another blow to Mace, this time flipping it. War Drums continued doing this several times until it got another hit, this time ripping the right wheel off of Mace. War Drums then delivered a final blow to Mace, sending it flying once more before Mace's team tapped out. This loss meant that Mace was eliminated from the competition.
