M2K02 was a superheavyweight robot built by South Bay RoboWarriors, which fought exclusively in Season 5.0 of BattleBots on Comedy Central.
The robot was an upgraded and heavier version of the team's iconic heavyweight Mauler. M2K02 was armed with an overhead spinning weapon fitted with flails and chisels. However, it lost its first and only battle to Steel Reign. M2K02 could've started being built as early as Season 3.0 as it was referenced in the audience brochure as Mauler 2001 but did not compete in any capacity.
After BattleBots ended, M2K02 was renamed Mauler 2003 and fought in Steel Conflict 3, where it won a single battle before losing and being eliminated from the competition.

M2K02 vs. Steel Reign  M2K02 unbalances itself after hitting Steel Reign. M2K02's first BattleBots fight against seasoned competitors in Steel Reign. As the fight began, Steel Reign box-rushed M2K02 as it tried to spin up. Although the flails were up to speed, Steel Reign was able to tank the hits and unbalanced M2K02 as it lay next to the spikestrip. M2K02's wheels had become dislodged and it was pushed across the BattleBox, propped up on its own wheel. M2K02 was counted out and and lost by knockout. |
