Lucy's Revenge was a heavyweight robot that was designed a robot for Season 2.0 of Comedy Central's BattleBots. The team were comprised of university students from the University of British Columbia. The team were designing the robot for a mechanical engineering class.
Most of the details of the robot were never finalized on the team's website.[1] It is known that the team had received parts and a team member had much difficulty receiving the batteries as they had to be shipped to Canada. The team uploaded many documents to their site, but all are now inaccessible. The team stopped updating the website in February 2000.
Early concept of Lucy's Revenge
Further correspondence with team captain Kody Baker has revealed that the robot was designed, but never built.[2] The name Lucy's Revenge was an inside joke at the time which the team can no longer recall. The design was to incorporate an overhead turret, much like lightweight competitor Executioner, with a circular sawon the end. It was to be constructed out of aluminum extrusions.
