Land Shark was a 15lb robot built by students of Worcester Polytechnic Institute which competed at the inaugural Rumble at the Rock event in December 2007.
Very little is known about Land Shark as no images of it are publicly available. The WPI students behind it also competed at Rumble at the Rock with Knockturnal.
According to The Builders Database, a separate middleweight robot called LandShark was also built by WPI students and registered for the BattleBots 2009 Pro Championship, but did not compete for unknown reasons.[1] Team member Paul Ventimiglia would later go on to build Giant Nut winning heavyweight Bite Force.
