Kritical Mass II was a heavyweight robot which competed in Season 3.0 of Comedy Central's BattleBots. It was a six-wheel drive robot armed with a spinning blade. It performed decently as a rookie, reaching the Round of 32.

Kritical Mass II was a successor to the original Kritical Mass, which competed on the first season of Robotica. A revised Kritical Mass also competed on Robot Wars Extreme Warriors as Manta, it also entered Robot Wars Extreme Series 1 in a fight dubbed the International Inferno as Manta where it lost to Panic Attack. The team that built Kritical Mass also built Ultra Violence for the final season of Robotica, which lost to the eventual runner-ups, Juggerbot 3.0.

Kritical Mass II was entered in BattleBots to test the machine for Robot Wars: The Second World Championship where it competed under the Manta name.

Robot History

Season 3.0
Kritical Mass II vs. Spinne Kritical Mass II's first match in BattleBots was against Spinne. Kritical Mass II won on a 38-7 judges' decision and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced Chewbot.
Kritical Mass II vs. Chewbot Chewbot gets attacked from the behind by Kritical Mass II. In the match, Kritical Mass II was the aggressor from the start and tore into the behind of Chewbot and pushed Chewbot to the pulverizer. The whole fight was then turned into a pushing match before the time ran out. Kritical Mass II won on a 35-10 decision, putting it through to fight GoldDigger.
Kritical Mass II vs. GoldDigger GoldDigger won the match on a close 23-22 judges' decision and Kritical Mass II was eliminated from the tournament.
Heavyweight Consolation Rumble Kritical Mass II gets flipped over by Little Sister during the Heavyweight Consolation Rumble. Kritical Mass II was one of the robots competing in the end-of-season Heavyweight Consolation Rumble. After attacking Slam Job and Towering Inferno with its spinning blade at one point, it was flipped on its back against the spikestrip by UK competitor Little Sister. Kritical Mass II was left there for the rest of the rumble, ultimately losing to both Little Sister and Kill-O-Amp.
