Knightrous was a middleweight robot built by Team Titanium Knights which competed in three BotsIQ events between 2006 and 2008.

It was a two-wheel drive, invertible robot armed with a large eggbeater spinner at the front, In its debut competition, Knightrous fell short of the podium finishes as the team's own E2V2 picked up the High School Division title. In 2006, a 15lb version was built called Mini Knightrous, which also fought from 2006 until 2008. It would again be outshone by its teammate during the 2007 event, who this time finished runner-up.

At the 2008 event, Knightrous picked up third place in the High School division, achieving one of the first ring-out victories in BattleBots history against Fang. Knightrous also picked up the Coolest Robot and Best Engineered Robot awards for a second time.

Team Titanium Knights previously competed with E2 in the 2002 BattleBots IQ event, as well as its successor, E2V2 from 2004 until 2007. They also fought in various BattleBots IQ events with Overlord, Mighty Knight, Good Knight, Mini E, Titanium Knight and UKnight.

Robot History

BattleBots IQ 2006
Knightrous vs. ? Knightrous debuted in the 2006 competition, but it is unknown who it fought. As Knightrous did not finish in the Top 3, the double elimination format of the bracket means it lost twice to unknown opponents. However, it picked up two best in show awards at the end of the tournament.
BotsIQ 2007 Please note that the order of the following fights is unknown, as documentation on the event itself is either limited or non-existent. This is typically true of untelevised events such as BattleBots IQ and those sanctioned by the BattleBots name.
Knightrous vs. Guayacan Knightrous sends Guayacan flying through the air. Knightrous returned for the 2007 competition. At some stage in the competition, it is known to have fought Guayacan. It won this fight by knockout after using its weapon to throw and dismantle Guayacan, and advanced in the bracket.
Knightrous vs. Sasquatch Knightrous flips Sasquatch over for a quick KO. Knightrous also took on Sasquatch during the competition, which it also beat by knockout in under a minute after flipping it over with its eggbeater spinner.
Knightrous vs. Stormin' Norman Knightrous suddenly stops moving. Knightrous is also known to have taken on Stormin' Norman and lost by knockout due to electrical issues.
Knightrous vs. Stormin' Norman Knightrous decapitates its opponent. Knightrous fought Stormin' Norman in a rematch and won after tearing off its entire shell, exposing its electronics and winning by KO.
Knightrous vs. ? It is not known who it fought aside from these two wins. However, due to the aforementioned double elimination format, Knightrous lost for a second time at some stage as it did not finish in the Top 3.

Knightrous vs. Fang Knightrous throws Fang out of the arena. Knightrous competed again in the 2008 competition, where it fought and defeated Fang.
Knightrous vs. Coincidence Knightrous taking on Coincidence. Next up for Knightrous was Adam Bercu and Coincidence. As both robots' weapons spun up to speed, Knightrous turned to face Coincidence. As Adam Bercu's bot went weapon-to-weapon with Knightrous, the collision caused both robots to jump backwards. Coincidence appeared to escape this exchange worse, as it was barely moving in the corner of the arena. Having suffered a few shots from the pulverizer, Knightrous returned to the center of the arena as Coincidence was only driving on one side. It was eventually counted out, and Knightrous took the win by knockout.
Knightrous vs. Overlord Knightrous overturns Overlord. The team next fought one of their own robots, Overlord. It picked up another win by knockout in this battle after flipping the overhead bar spinner over.
Knightrous vs. Thunderstruck Knightrous looks on as Thunderstruck is stuck. Knightrous also took on and defeated Thunderstruck at an unknown stage in the tournament, chalking up another quick knockout win.
Knightrous vs. ODDBOTT 3.5 Knightrous turns to face ODDBOTT 3.5. Knightrous fought ODDBOTT 3.5 later in the competition. After losing power to its weapon almost immediately, Knightrous was outwedged by ODDBOT 3.5 for much of the battle. Both robots survived to the end of the fight, but ODDBOTT 3.5 was declared victorious by judges' decision.

Knightrous took on Copperhead III in the semi-final. However, Copperhead III won this fight after tearing away Knightrous' hardened S7 tool steel thresher. This was Team Titanium Knights' second loss, meaning they were eliminated at this stage. They would not finish trophyless, however, as Knightrous picked up the Best Engineered Robot and Coolest Robot Award. According to Dan Curham of Copperhead III, this fight retired Knightrous.
