""Moves like a butterfly and stings like a bee!" That's what they say about the viscous Deadblow. Get the Grip 'n Grappler and peck away at your opponents until they submit."
— The toy's official description on the BattleBots Store.[1]

KillerHurtz was one of nine BattleBots competitors released as part of Jakks Pacific's line of Grip N' Grapplers toys in 2001.

Team Hurtz using a KillerHurtz toy to press their Ready button during World Championship VII.

Like every other toy in the range, the main robot was attached to a flexible, clear plastic tube connected to a pull trigger. When activated, the trigger would power the axe of KillerHurtz. In KillerHurtz's case, both of its weak points were armor panels on the front of the toy, which when struck, would "explode" to signify the robot being knocked out. KillerHurtz also comes with a practice robot, Slicer, as well as a replica Giant Nut trophy as it was released exclusively in the Third Edition of Grip N' Grapplers.

Trivia[]

  • KillerHurtz was the final original Grip N' Grapplers to be produced, released exclusively as part of the Third Edition.
  • The KillerHurtz Grip N' Grappler toy made a surprise appearance during World Championship VII, when John Reid's team used it to push the Ready button in their Fight Night battle against Black Dragon.
