Karcas 2 was a heavyweight robot built by Mutant Robots which fought at the 2004 NPC Charity Open sanctioned by BattleBots.

It was a four-wheel drive robot based heavily upon Donald Hutson's superheavyweight championship-winning design, Diesector. Unlike Diesector, Karcas 2 lacked the side-mounted battle mallets and sported cambered wheels, which was design feature more akin to his two-wheel drive turret lifter, Tazbot. In fact, the jaws and speed controllers were salvaged from Diesector and Tazbot respectively.[1] When facing highly-destructive opponents, the jaws of Karcas 2 could be swapped out for a 40lb scoop which Hutson dubbed the 'Mega Plow'.[1] Karcas 2 went unbeaten during the 2004 event, winning the heavyweight bracket outright after winning four straight fights.

Karcas 2 was the heavier counterpart to Hutson's middleweight, Karcas, which bore a very similar design but was instead two-wheel drive.

Outside BattleBots[]

Following its NPC Charity Open success, Karcas 2 was also entered into the November 2005 Combots Cup event. Here, it reached the final in its bracket before being defeated by Matt Maxham and Sewer Snake, losing the judges' decision by just a single point.[1]
