JuggerBot, also stylized as Juggerbot, was a superheavyweight robot built by Team JuggerBot which competed in Season 3.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots.
It was a six-wheel drive, box-shaped robot developed from the team's Robotica Season 1 entry of the same name. The 'beefed-up' machine was powered by NiCad batteries, and incorporated extensive use of titanium and aluminum laminate armor in its 'reinforced combat chassis'. JuggerBot was armed a multitude of spikes on the front, sides and back. In tandem with its powerful drive system, utilizing 'custom wound' motors and self-designed gearboxes, the spikes were capable of damaging exposed components and spiking through Lexan panelling.[2][1]
Though JuggerBot won its debut match against Neptune, it was eliminated from the main superheavyweight division in its second by eventual champion Vladiator.
Outside BattleBots[]
An earlier heavyweight iteration of JuggerBot also competed in the first season of Robotica, reaching the overall final. It was later repurposed, with updated internals, to become the first incarnation of Rosie the Riveter, which fought in both seasons of Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors and the one-off series Nickelodeon Robot Wars.[3]
Immediately following its Season 3.0 run, the superheavyweight JuggerBot (referred to by the team as JuggerBot 2.0) was converted into their second Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors entry Tricerabot. An extensive rebuild saw the robot adopt a four-wheel drive layout and revised spike weaponry, as well as have its weight reduced by 100lbs to comply with Robot Wars heavyweight regulations. The dinosaur-themed Tricerabot participated in multiple events throughout Season 1. Highlights of its initial run included third place in the Tag Team Terror competition, partnered with Rosie the Riveter, and a major role in the competitors' pitting of Sir Killalot in the Robot Rebellion Final.[3][4][5]
The JuggerBot name returned to Robotica in Season 3, with the new JuggerBot 3.0 build reaching the overall final once more. Armed with a pneumatic lifter/flipper, it was subsequently converted into Tricerabot 3.0 for Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors, finishing runner-up in the US Championship of Season 2. Coincidentally, both were defeated in the finals by incarnations of the Panzer Mk series. As before, JuggerBot 3.0 was accompanied in Robotica by a second Season 3 entry, LogosEye, armed with a front wedge and 24V electric circular saw. LogosEye, competing in and eliminated in the same qualifying heat as JuggerBot 3.0, formed the basis of the second Rosie the Riveter build. Rosie the Riveter II, receiving extra armor and further structural modifications, also reached the Grand Final of Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors Season 2 in this form.[3]
In July 2002, JuggerBot 3.0 and Rosie the Riveter II both attended the informal Oregon Clandestine Street Fight event. JuggerBot 3.0 fought a 'marathon' battle against pneumatic lifter The Gap, but is suggested to have lost to the fellow Extreme Warriors Season 2 competitor according to the Team Run Amok website.[6][7][8][9] Meanwhile, Rosie the Riveter II was severely damaged in combat against Tillah, a drum spinner then recently completed by Team JuggerBot.[10]
Designed by Ron Ender and Eric Bewley, Tillah was a two-wheel drive robot armed with a cuboidal-style drum, built with the hope of competing in US events.[11][12] With Comedy Central opting not to renew BattleBots beyond Season 5.0, it made its only known event appearance at Steel Conflict 4 in August 2003. There, Tillah picked up one victory in the 220lb class against HellFire 666, but was eliminated following losses to The Compressor and Megabyte respectively.[13] The heavyweight JuggerBot returned for the same event under the name JuggerBot 3.1, but lost its only known match to Cyclonebot.[14]
Alongside their endeavors in televised shows, various members of Team JuggerBot began development work on a number of competitor robots which never materialized. Three such designs were mentioned on their official team website. The first two, intended for a Fall 2001 debut, included a pulsejet-powered spinner, Shockwave, whose weapon system was reportedly banned by BattleBots. Shockwave's design would be 'Radically modified' for the second 2001 proposal, Pop Rivet, which was still to feature a 'unique' weapon. The third design, Viper, was planned by captain Mike Morrow to be completed for 2002. Viper itself was to have been a 450lb biomemetic robot, stated to not require any wheels or drive motors for locomotion.[2]
In 2025, it was confirmed by Mike Morrow that team members Chris Gattman and Ron Ender had both passed away. As part of Gattman's memorial in September the same year, the original JuggerBot/Rosie the Riveter chassis was refurbished and displayed alongside the Rosie the Riveter II chassis.[15][16]

JuggerBot vs. Neptune In the main Season 3.0 Superheavyweight Championship, JuggerBot initially fought Neptune in an untelevised preliminary match. While both teams prepared their machines for combat, Team JuggerBot observed that two of their opponent's six tethered harpoons fired while it was being armed.[17] |
JuggerBot vs. Vladiator In its next fight, JuggerBot fought Vladiator, the latest robot built by BattleBots heavyweight champion Gage Cauchois. |
