Joan of Arc was a middleweight robot built by Femme Fatale, an all-female team of Florida-based students which competed in the inaugural BattleBots IQ tournament in 2002 and 2004.
It was a silver, two wheeled, invertible robot armed with an undercutting horizontal spinning flywheel at the front. After receiving a first round bye, Joan of Arc was able to win one out of its three tournament fights.[1]
The robot's name is a direct reference to Joan of Arc, a patron saint of France who lived during the 15th Century. The team name, Femme Fatale, translates from French as 'deadly woman'.

Joan of Arc vs. Accelerator Joan of Arc's first fight was against Accelerator. In this fight, it used its disk to great effect and sent sparks flying as it made contact with its titanium opponent, eventually winning by knockout.[2] |
Joan of Arc vs. Plasticbot In the next round, Joan of Arc took on Plasticbot. It lost this fight though, and was relegated to the loser's bracket. |

Joan of Arc, FLIP, Checkmate & Playbot vs. Bulldog Warrior, Tetanus, Plow King & Scorpion Joan of Arc's fourth and final battle during the 2002 event came in an East vs. West grudge match against Bulldog Warrior, Tetanus, Plow King and Scorpion. Though it unknown how well Joan of Arc performed, it was ultimately part of the winning team of four alongside East Coast representatives FLIP, Checkmate and Playbot. |

Joan of Arc vs. Falcon Joan of Arc returned for 2004 BattleBots IQ tournament where it first faced off against Falcon. Joan of Arc came out for a frontal attack and was shot into the air by Falcon's drum. Falcon kept the pressure on hitting Joan of Arc multiple times until it was able to remove Joan of Arc's right tire. From this point on, Joan of Arc was immobile and was knocked out.[3] |
Joan of Arc vs. Devil's Halo Joan of Arc then fought Devil's Halo in the loser bracket. After a slow start, Devil's Halo was able to land a hit which put Joan of Arc on its side and jam its disk. Joan of Arc was able to get back on its wheels, but Devil's Halo tore the left tire off Joan of Arc and knocked it out.[4] |
