Jekyll & Hyde was a heavyweight robot designed by ARC Robotics which applied for BattleBots World Championship V.
According to CAD rendering, Jekyll & Hyde was a two-part multibot, each of which was two-wheel drive and featured twin forks at the front, colorful designs and expressions referencing the protagonist from the Robert Louis Stevenson novella of Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. One half featured an overhead crushing jaw, and the other half sported a hammer. Both halves' weapons were planned to be made from ½" AR500 steel with disposable S7 steel tips, but little else is known about the robot's construction.[1]
Jekyll & Hyde was not selected to compete in the 2020 season, and was not even accepted for the pre-COVID BattleBots roster which was revealed prior to the international travel bans enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic. The team later applied for World Championship VI with a new robot called Broadside. However, this too was not selected to compete.
